Carl is a prominent Indigenous gospel singer and songwriter based out of Cumberland House, Saskatchewan.

Carl is known for his contributions to country and gospel music and has many recordings and releases. Hecontinues to be active in his local musci scene, bringing country and gospel music to the airwaves.

Carl told the PA Herald, "I was completely flabbergasted,". "I mean, I never expected anything like that to happen. I've heard of awards being given like that, but that's a real honor for people that do the work that they do. I didn't expect to get picked for that."
